Sidebar disappears below content box in small windows

When the window is not wide enough, the sidebar is moved below the content box (see attachment). I think the behaviour was/should be that there is an overal minimal width and below that width the sidebar is not moved further to the left but instead the user has to scroll. At least on the main page this is the case.

Even better would be, of course, a dynamic layout, where the sidebar disappears in cases like these. I am happy to see this when the new layout is implemented.
