"Breadcrumbs" for pages (e.g., titles) are missing
I don't mean the html <title>
tag but really some visual indication where I am (the old layout always shows the URL path at the top)

as discussed, also add headline for + personalized + clipboard + inbox + dicussed + user

That's not just an issue of adding headline to some pages. We need a headline/breadcrumb for every page!

I still see no breadcrumb, i.e., I have no chance of seeing where I am!

reporter Robert, please post a list of concerned pages. Thank you.
-
This affects all pages. There's no area in the new layout that shows the breadcrumb.
-
Thanks for the first implementation! It's still missing (at least) for the following pages:
- http://www.biblicious.org/
- http://www.biblicious.org/tag/access_control
- http://www.biblicious.org/concept/tag/access_control
- http://www.biblicious.org/group/kde
- http://www.biblicious.org/relevantfor/group/kde
- http://www.biblicious.org/group/kde?filter=JUST_PDF
- http://www.biblicious.org/export/user/jaeschke
- http://www.biblicious.org/friend/hotho
- http://www.biblicious.org/bibtexkey/sdfasdf
- http://www.biblicious.org/search/sdfasdf+group%3Anepomuk
- For http://www.biblicious.org/author/Pickhardt it should be "/author/Pickhardt" as in the URL.
- For http://www.biblicious.org/viewable/friends and http://www.biblicious.org/viewable/kde the key
???page.viewable.headline???
is missing. - For http://www.biblicious.org/discussed/group/kde the breadcrumb is wrong - it says "popular / discussed posts" but should be the discussed posts for the group KDE.
- For http://www.biblicious.org/authors it's inconsistent - it is "/authors" but for /tags it says "popular / tags" and so for the posts, discussions, etc.
- ???page.inbox.headline??? and ???page.basket.headline??? and missing

- For http://www.biblicious.org/relevantfor/group/kde/web it should be "/relevantfor/group/kde/web"
- For http://www.biblicious.org/group/kde?filter=JUST_PDF it should probably be "/documents/group/kde" (to distinguish it from http://www.biblicious.org/group/kde/documents)

reporter Thank you for your help. I will add the missing breadcrumbs.
For the following four points, I'd suggest to let it as it is. Breadcrumbs are a part of a navigation and a part for user orientation. If you want to project the URL exactly, we don't need the breadcrumbs. The users can have a look at the URL.
- For http://www.biblicious.org/author/Pickhardt it should be "/author/Pickhardt" as in the URL.
- For http://www.biblicious.org/group/kde it should be "/group/kde" as in the URL
- For http://www.biblicious.org/relevantfor/group/kde it should be "/relevantfor/group/kde"
- For http://www.biblicious.org/relevantfor/group/kde/web it should be "/relevantfor/group/kde/web"
-
Thanks.
Regarding the renaming: It's not about the URL, it's about wording and coherence. As we have /tag/web and /user/bar we should have /group/kde and /author/Knuth, etc. For the "relevantfor" page it's also not about the URL: the current style does not make sense, when a tag is attached. The idea is also to have (in principle) such a page for other entities (e.g., users), such that /relevantfor/group/kde would be similar to /relevantfor/user/jaeschke.

Should we move the breadcrumbs under the search field? The relation is more clear and the it could become a bit smaller.
-
reporter No.
