"Breadcrumbs" for pages (e.g., titles) are missing

Issue #1999 resolved
Sebastian Böttger created an issue

I don't mean the html <title> tag but really some visual indication where I am (the old layout always shows the URL path at the top)

That's not just an issue of adding headline to some pages. We need a headline/breadcrumb for every page!

commited changes to the resourceLayout - added a required attribute headline , edited the jspx-files and messages.properties

Thanks for the first implementation! It's still missing (at least) for the following pages:

    1. http://www.biblicious.org/user/nosebrain/test

    3. http://www.biblicious.org/concept/user/nosebrain/access_control

There's still not breadcrumb for the following pages:

    2. http://www.biblicious.org/concept/user/nosebrain/access_control
    3. http://www.biblicious.org/tag/access_control

Thank you for your help. I will add the missing breadcrumbs.

For the following four points, I'd suggest to let it as it is. Breadcrumbs are a part of a navigation and a part for user orientation. If you want to project the URL exactly, we don't need the breadcrumbs. The users can have a look at the URL.

    Thanks.

Regarding the renaming: It's not about the URL, it's about wording and coherence. As we have /tag/web and /user/bar we should have /group/kde and /author/Knuth, etc. For the "relevantfor" page it's also not about the URL: the current style does not make sense, when a tag is attached. The idea is also to have (in principle) such a page for other entities (e.g., users), such that /relevantfor/group/kde would be similar to /relevantfor/user/jaeschke.

Should we move the breadcrumbs under the search field? The relation is more clear and the it could become a bit smaller.

Here you can see a layout proposal we came up with in 2011 after discussion with the HCI guys:
