Making private note / PDF available to group or friends

I would love to share my "private" notes with friends of mine, so that they can read my opinion about an article. Even better would it be if I also could share the PDF, although I understand that this might be a legal problem.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe both features have been implemented with groups
