mal-formed or incomplete bibliographic info

Reported by michelw: I see that the bibliographic info in light grey given after the publication's title is often incomplete or mal-formed. For example, for a PhD or MSc thesis, only the year is displayed, see e.g. http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/25e31b230497a2b3e4f926ed0e9955555/michelw. For technical reports, only the number and year appear, which makes it even stranger (see eg http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/29abbfc4a81b49bfe64efacc24a4e05cc/michelw).

The series field isn't used either, which makes it strange to just write the volume number in case of proceedings in the LNCS series (see eg http://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/23052b8a1e83d464b4712d3b8be60b421/michelw).

I could probably find other examples where the bibliographic info is not properly generated from the bibtex fields, but I'll leave it at this just to make the point.
