Issues with Turpentine, Resin, Yeast, and others

Issue #106 resolved
Ellie created an issue

Despite trawling Google, YouTube, every FTB/Binnie's Mods wiki I could find, I was unable to find recipes or instructions for most of the items related to both the Alcohol portion of Binnie's, and the Woodworking portion.

The machines themselves seem to work fine. On the other hand, they require items that, at this point, seem to be impossible to make or find.

The items I have struggled to work in game are the following:

  • Yeast - Needed to work the Brewery.

  • Turpentine/Resin - Needed to make the wood polish in order to use the various -worker machines.

  • Grains - Needed to brew various alcohols.

I'm not entirely sure this is a bug or simple a series of unimplemented bits of the mod, but it definitely makes the mod unplayable for those of us looking to do this sort of thing. Thank you!

I think a lot of the Alcohol things are still WIP. A couple work that you can see on the video he posted, but haven't really been documented. To make Turpentine, you put resin in a Forestry Still, Resin comes from putting logs in a Forestry Squeezer. However, you have Issue #76 where squeezing logs produces Sap instead of Resin, and Sap doesn't work in the production of Turpentine. Be sure to upvote Issue 76 as well.

Yeah, I read that about 5 minutes after I posted this. Already upvoted!

And thanks for the info. I was really, really hoping that the stuff wasn't WIP and that I was just missing something or it was a simple bugfix, but I guess that's the price for awesome mods like these.

Grains and yeast now have simple recipes that can be found on NEI, and will be added to the wiki soon. Note these are temporary recipes.

All logs give resin currently, as there is a bug with the squeezer where it confuses all logs

Just wanted to let you know, the recipe for wheat grain to corn grain is broken. Shows as correct in NEI, but crafts barley grain instead of corn grain when you try to craft it.
