Sequencer produces only balnk templates

Using the sequencer in the regrowth modpack (version 0.8.8 of the pack), i was trying to analyze the gene sequences to see if i got what i wanted, but the out was only blank templates. This either means that i don't understand how the machines should be used, or that i am wasting my time with these machines until an update to genetics.
forge version 10.13.4.1448 binnie-core 2.0pre14?
not sure which jar Genetics falls under.
This is not a bug. The sequencer will read the DNA sequence and put the genome sample in the gene database. If you just want to know which genome is in the sequence, you need to use the Analyser.
