Pollen
With ExtraBees 2.0-dev5, Forestry 3.1.1 and Gendustry (all current versions) the onPollenRetrieved function for apiaries is never called when trees from forestry (or extratrees) are placed, not sure if this is a bug from binnies mods or forestry. It just seems to work with vanilla Minecraft trees (Birch and Oak tested). Gendustry Apiary manages to get them at least, extra bees sieves do not seem to work at all.
Currently testing vanilla forestry only to figure out if it is binnies mod or forestry being buggy and vanilla forestry only seems to work, so it is likely Binnies Mods doing something weird with the genetics stuff.

repo owner - changed status to resolved
Confirmed that alveary sieves are working with my trees as of 2.0-pre1. I did have to bump up the chance significantly however
-
Account Deleted reporter Still not working with Gendustry, but I figured that Gendustry was not the issue there. Somehow for Gendustry the onPollenRetrieved function is never called.
-
repo owner So when using a vanilla forestry alveary with my trees, Gendustry still prevents it being called?
-
Account Deleted reporter It seems so, but the thing is that gendustry with vanilla trees works. I think it worked with vanilla forestry as well. bdew (Gendustry Author) investigated I think and mentioned he thinks it is your mods doing this. Testing Binnies mods with forestry only now. That does not seem to work as well. Just have enderio and cofhcore in the instance now, and NEI, but I do not think they interfere with treebreeding.

repo owner Are you using an alveary or apiary? And if an alveary, what blocks are in there apart from plain alveary ones?
-
Account Deleted reporter Just Sieves and Frame Housings in an Alveary. And it only gets vanilla tree pollen. I am unable to get red cherry pollen or any other forestry or extra trees pollen.
-
repo owner Are you talking about the alveary sieve block or actually a sieve in a frame housing?
-
Account Deleted reporter Sieve block with a sieve in them and frame housings with frames in them. The Sieves only pickup vanilla minecraft trees pollen, non else.
-
repo owner Which frames are in the housings? Again, I can successfully obtain Douglas-fir pollen using an alveary with Alveary Sieves and empty Frame Housings
-
Account Deleted reporter Empty or the villager ones, cherry trees do not work with either.
The trees seem to be pollinated fine, but for some reason I cannot get any of the forestry trees pollen. What I also noted is that for some reason the bees do not seem to pollinate the bottom layer of the trees leaves. Might that be related?

Account Deleted reporter What Forge version do you use? I cannot get it to work with forge 1230 for 1.7.10.

Account Deleted reporter After updating to pre5, and updating it started working again. Dunno which one fixed that but thanks if you were that.
