Hill cherry and Beech Trees Not Maturing

I have had both of these trees planted for 4 days now in a Plains Biome well lit with a chunk loader, and they have not matured. I can use bone meal to mature the fruit but not how it is intended to be done. Playing Direwolf20 1.7.10.

The fruit definately matures as of 2.0-pre1, it may just take a long time
