Placing nether star in mutator does not reward player in any way

Takin down wither isnt exactly easy it is a chalange and for underdoing such a chalange player is rewarded with a nether star how ever becouse there is a chanse that the genom will be damaged when above 10% the bee migh resive temporal trait and die in a few generations temporal bees have no use so why would player should waste rare nether star to do such shoudnt player be rewarded for wasting nether star after all if player needs to get all the bees it will take many nether stars
