Bee Automation deleting bees in AE mod

Issue #324 new
Former user created an issue

Hello,

I've setup a pretty sweet automated "hive house" using strictly apiaries and Modest Bees (princesses and drones). I'm not sure if this issue is with Forestry bees, Extra bees, or the AE mod itself. However, each night/day when I check the AE system (storage) I notice I have an abundance of normal beekeeping stuff, wax, drones, combs, etc.

What I also check is the status of the apiaries itself. I go through each of the 24 apiaries in the hive house and I keep noticing the fact that there is something deleting the princesses from either the apiary itself, or from the AE mod storage system. I have to replenish the princesses by going out and finding the hives, which becomes a nuisance.

Has anyone ever posted this as an issue?

I use a basic import bus under the hives to import hatched princesses/drones, combs, etc.

The other AE block I use is the fuzzy export bus, I have to set it to "match any" and I simply input the modest bees (princess/drone) from the rear of the apiaries. In theory, it should always be creating queens, hatching princesses and drones, rinse and repeat. But, as I said before, it seems to be deleting some of the princesses on one end or the other of one of the mods. I am just not sure which one.

I suspected it was the AE mod first, perhaps losing power, but it has an overkill amount powering it. So that's not the issue. Then I thought perhaps there's not enough storage space in the discs? That's not it either; 2 extra discs with 0/63.

So what could this possibly bee? no pun intended....

Any help would be appreciated as I grow tiresome from constantly scouring deserts for modest hives to replace the ones that are disappearing!

Last theory (highly unlikely): the code is replicating real world simulation of the actual disappearing of the honey bee from a combination of overworking, pesticides and insecticides, antibiotics.... That would actually be really cool if it did.

<---- real world apiarist and honey bee enthusiast: thanks a lot for the mod, and your help!

This is likely tied to Princess Type. Ignoble princess only last for so many generations where Pristine last indefinitely, can you confirm what type you were using?
