Many tools use commands such as
pygmentize -S monokai -f html > monokai.css (or anything equivalent) to generate a CSS file to be used. This is typically the case of this Pelican blog engine template.
However, it seems the output CSS does not contain the background color for the text (
pygments.token.Text). I am not sure if this is on purpose or not, but it makes it difficult to use the theme, see for instance this issue.
After some debugging, it seems to be coming from this line which cancels out anything which has an empty class, such as
pygments.token.Text color definition.
I am not sure about the right way to fix it. If it is not done on purpose, simply handling the case
not cls would be ok. Else, I have no idea how this should be fixed.
