"Indexes" not "indices"?

The Economist.com Style Guide says: indexes (of books), but indices (indicators, index numbers). You may find some entertainment googling "indexes or indices". Or not ;-)

    What a nice topic :)

Most pages I found list the two plural forms as equivalent, and as someone who had nine years of Latin in school I much prefer the more original spelling... if you feel strongly about it please submit a patch ;)
