search box doesn't work with javascript (html output)

Benoit Boissinot avatarBenoit Boissinot created an issue

I don't usually have javascript enabled in my browser (firefox+ the noscript extension). The search box in the sidebar doesn't work without javascript. It should probably be disabled (hidden) if the browser doesn't have scripting support. The search page should provide some kind of feedback when javascript isn't enabled too.

With some guidance I could probably help resolving this.

thanks.

If you want to work on that, I'd suggest the following:

    • Hide the search box by default in the CSS, and make it visible by JS
    • Place a warning on the search page, hide it by JS
