    In principle, I think this is a good idea.

    However, this imports the class once again: wouldn't it be possible to extract the docstring the first time the class is imported? (Also, I'd like to have a "..." appended if the docstring is cut.)

      I can see how it might feel cleaner to access the docstring the first time the class is imported, rather than re-import them. I've implemented this in the updated pull request. It didn't get much less complicated, though 8-)

      (Any speed gains are negligible; re-importing a module is almost free.)

      I'm not sure what you mean about "...". The first line of a docstring should make sense on its own, per http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0257/.

Tip: Filter by directory path e.g. /media app.js to search for public/media/app.js.
Tip: Use camelCasing e.g. ProjME to search for ProjectModifiedEvent.java.
Tip: Filter by extension type e.g. /repo .js to search for all .js files in the /repo directory.
Tip: Separate your search with spaces e.g. /ssh pom.xml to search for src/ssh/pom.xml.
Tip: Use ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to navigate and return to view the file.
Tip: You can also navigate files with Ctrl+j (next) and Ctrl+k (previous) and view the file with Ctrl+o.
