I tried spec2scl ruby-shadow.spec (taken from Fedora 18) and it last and last... I interrupted it after several minutes. I tried it several times with the same result. Not sure what is happening as the spec file is really short and very easy.

Thanks for the report, this seems to be a serious bug, so I'll investigate ASAP.
