Win 8 64bit issue

Hi,
I've used Notewhal with Win 7 64bit for awhile and never had any issues, but now I've upgraded to WIN 8 64 bit and installed the last Notewhal version I can't start it. When I click on the icon it simply does nothing.
I guess this might be a issue with the win8 64bit version because I've also upgraded my laptop but to win8 32bit and Notewhal is working 100%.
Can you please tell me what might be missing in my win8 64bit (a dll, framework, etc..) that might fix it?

Further testing has confirmed notewhal 0.9.16 will run on Windows 8 64-bit machines.

notewhal 0.9.16 was only tested on Windows 7 and below. If any dll or framework were missing then it should display an error.
Unfortunately, I don't own a Windows 8 64-bit machine. I would suggest trying the compatibility feature until I have the means to look into this issue further.
