Staff rules block out way too much time

To reproduce:

New product with duration 120min, interval 1h, padding 1h, 1 staff without rules, and this availability works fine:

We get the slots at 9:00, 11:30, 15:30, 18:00.


Now, remove the last 3 rules from the product and set them as staff rules:

The only avalable slots are now: 9:00 and 18:00. There are 2 missing slots.


The test is done with a new product, new staff member, and no global rules on versions 4.15.0 and 4.16.1.
It makes no difference if “Customer selected” or “Automatically assigned” staff is selected.

    I tried setting the duration to 2 hours (instead of 120 minutes) and it’s the same.

    I tried setting the padding to 0 and same outcome.

    I tried setting the padding to 0 and interval to 1 minute and I got these slots: 9:00, 11:30, 11:31, 15:30, 18:00, and that is correct.

    Is this really just an interval thing and not a bug?
