Date picker start and end dates

When setting a ‘Date range’ or ‘Time Range (date range)’ rule, can the default date be the current date? At the moment, the default date seems to vary randomly, from a future date to a past date. It would save time to have it set to default on the current date. Furthermore, when setting the From date, the To date doesn’t change at all. Again, it would save time if the To date automatically changed to the same as the From date as default.

From 4.4.0 onward, all fields for availability and pricing rules are empty. Datepicker defaults to current month.
