Multiple emails sent

Many people reported the same bug on the latest version:

I can't reproduce this on any testing site I have.

Adding “define( ‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true );” to the wp-config.php solves the issue but that adds ?doing_wp_cron to URLs which is not optimal.
