Appointment lasting over midnight gets doubled in backend calendar view

Issue #540 resolved
Valentina R created an issue

Product with availability from 10:00 to 01:00 and an appointment that goes from Saturday 23:30 to 00:30, will be displayed also on Sunday on the monthly and weekly calendar in the WP backend. It will be disaplayed on Saturday and on Sunday at 23:30. When clicking it, the popup will show the correct date (Saturday date both times).

It looks like it’s a just a bug on showing it on the calendar if it goes from one day to another. The slot is otherwise still available for Sunday, it’s just the backend Calendar that has it wrong.

This is intentional and not a bug. Might be looking better, but in order to retain responsiveness of monthly/weekls/staff calendars in admin, overnight appointments need to be in their own columns and separated.

Even if it’s not a bug, it is confusing and makes you think that there is another appointment on both days. Looks at the images attched. The first one is from the monthly view and the second one is from the weekly view. If it needs to be doubled than at least there should be some clarification that it’s from the day before. Plus, on the weekly view it’s incorectly positioned because this specifc appointment goes from 23:30 to 00:30, so the second one should be placed on top and not at the bottom of the column.

Any chance to fix this and make it more user friendly?
