Repeating gCal events blocking out too much time

Recurring events (no matter whether they never end, end on a specific date, or repeat X times), block out too much time.

Example here. On a Monday, 02.03.2020, there is a normal gCal event from 17:00 to 18:00. And the 18:00 is available. But on a Tuesday, 03.03.2020, there is a repeating event from 17:00 to 18:00 and there is no availability left. It shows 18:00 slot but says 'There are a maximum of 0 places remaining on 03/03/2020 at 18:00.'
