Customer not attached to appointment when existing customer logs in during the checkout process

When an existing customer logs in during the checkout process, the customer is not attached to the Appointment - thus not visible in the my-account. However, the customer is attached to the order.
This only happens if you log in during the checkout process and not if you are already logged in before.
