It happens when using the same Google Account for both the general sync and staff.

    a user found out the issue is with the app created in google cloud platform being in testing mode and not published…in testing mode google will expire the authorizations for the test user after seven days…

    Make sure to add it to the gCal integration documentation page.

    So far, it seems that setting the app’s status to production fixes this. We need to update the tutorial to include this info.
