This is a version of SourceTree's new (2.0) icon with the blue portion hue-shifted to green.
(For the icon SourceTree had from 1.3 to 1.5, see tag “SourceTree-1.5”.)
I like SourceTree's new icon, but lamented to myself that it is Yet Another Blue Circular Icon. That doesn't bother me much, but since SourceTree used to have a green icon, I decided to make a version with that color.
I opened the original icon in Opacity, added a Hue Adjust layer, set its angle to -90 degrees, and set up a circular mask on the layer to apply it only to the interior of the icon (including the interior rim). For the 2.0 icon, I also added an Exposure Adjust layer, with the default setting of +0.5, and with the same mask.
Two Core Image filters did all the work. It took longer to write this README.
To use it:
- Download SourceTree green icon.zip.
- Unzip it.
- Get Info on both it and SourceTree.
- Copy the icon from “SourceTree green icon”.
- Paste it over SourceTree's icon.
Like any custom icon, you can remove it—and thereby revert to the original icon—like so:
- Get Info on SourceTree.
- Select the icon.
- Press Delete.
The original icon belongs to Atlassian. All I did was the trivial modification described above.
