Search Text box behaviour is not consistent

Bug: 1) When user moves mouse focus to search text box the text is not selected

a. However, when users presses hot key (Ctrl+D) search text is selected (need to make it consistent)

2) When uses is in the search text and selects everything and right click mouse.

a. popup context menu is shows (Copy/Paste/etc)

b. However, selection is lost and if user pastes it pastes at the end of the text
