As you are obviously not going to develop the plugin (quickly enough at least) and not going to think through its monetization or stuff like that, I assume it would be great if you just opened the project and made it open source. Those who might be interested would help to move its functionality forward.

Think about it... Right now all your work is sort of useless (even though someone perhaps uses it). This step would allow you to broad the target audience and simply help many other people to work with Microsoft SSMS crap.
