PreSync assumes ‘interior’ for WRITE statements, and MoL doesn’t explicitly set the region being written for its scalars. Scalars have no 'interior' and should be written ‘everywhere’, so these should be given explicitly, at least until PreSync changes the default behavior of WRITES for scalars.
