I suggest to internally send to/from any XML parser lower-case data, or perhaps just modify the standard Expat parser. Not sure exactly how it would be implemented.

    After further discussion, we decided that violating XML to force case insensitivity is not something we want in CEGUI.

    However, at some point the attribute names used by CEGUI will be synchronised to all use the same casing - so that, for example, all elements with a 'value' attribute would use <em>value=</em> rather than having a mix of <em>Value=</em> and <em>value=</em> like we have now.
