Chem num and list of figures

A problem I am having is including chemnum references in image captions (something like "UV-Vis spectrum of compound 3"). This works great, however when a list of figures is included it renumbers them how they appear in the list, as opposed to how they appear in text. Is there any workaround for this?

See section 8 of the manual. You can use

\cmpd+{<label>}

to get only the number but not declare the label. The label is then declared at another call of

\cmpd{<label>}

in the document which the + version uses.
