Incomplete time series data and environmental

Issue #30 new

Hi there! Thanks for the software. I really appreciate it! I have a couple of questions which I think could be added to wiki, given that they are common as I suppose. 1) To correlate the microbial data with environmental parameters, we should add them to the same matrix, as different variables? Should we transform them (to normalize) independently of the microbes or should the data normalization of -n be enough for both types of data (microbial reads and environmental)? 2) Biological data series are commonly flawed. I have data with all replicates in some timepoints, but lacking some in other time points. Is there a way to use them? I tried the -f but it did not accept the input when there are replicates missing. Is there a way around or should I average my replicates in this case? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi,
I am also using Elsa. I also would like to know if we need to do any normalisation on environment parameters, but I think you can add them in same matrix, as different variables.
About your second question, I think you can fill the lacking replicates in any timepoints with “NA” .
