Issue #1102 wontfix

3.1.3 release needed

Christophe Combelles
created an issue

Could you please release 3.1.3 as the current state of the 3.1.x branch, if there is nothing blocking such a release? We have weird errors in OpenERP due to a bug in the 3.1.2 release of CherryPy, and we discovered our problems are solved when using the latest 3.1.x revision, as documented in https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-client-web/+bug/705312

Please tell if there anything I can do do help in releasing 3.1.3 soon

thanks in advance,

Could you provide a new release because there is a real and blocking problem with the current version of CherryPy 3.1.2.

    That's very important !

    Thank you in advance,

Sorry for the delay, busy as everyone I guess.

CherryPy follows the release process described here https://bitbucket.org/cherrypy/cherrypy/wiki/ReleaseProcess

I've started testing it out on my machine and I got:

    • Python 2.7 ok for all the tests (both with SSL, HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/1.0)
    • Python 2.6 ok for all the tests (with HTTP/1.0, HTTP/1.1 but couldn't get pyOpenSSL to load properly on my new Ubuntu)

    I don't have 2.4 nor 2.5 at hand. I can't recall if 3.x was supported with CherryPy 3.1.x.

So if you want to help out, could you have a try as well and perhaps with those older Python releases? If they're okay we'll probably be able to tag 3.1.3 and package it up as the process describes.
