Issue #207 resolved

Making a daily snapshot of CP available as a tarball

Anonymous created an issue

It'd be nice to offer a daily snapshot of SVN trunk as a tarball for people who don't want or can't install SVN on their machine.

I'm not sure how much control the owners have over the machine hosting the website, so they may or may not be able to do this locally.

If it's not possible to do it locally then it should be fairly simple to setup an external script to update a svn copy and then attach the tarball to a wiki page. I don't mind doing this but there would be no point if it could be done locally...

It appears that removing and adding attachments doesn't polute the Trac timeline so this would be a fairly neat solution.

Some users would appreciate a windows setup executable as well.

    python bdist --formats=wininst

I'm not sure if that can be done on a linux machine though.

Well let's close this one as I feel no one is really asking for it anyway. Subversion is your friend.
