I can't clonesatchmo

Issue #1049 invalid
Anonymous created an issue

Whenever I try the command python clonesatchmo.py I get the following error: Skeleton directory does not contain localsite subdirectory. Path should be /path/to/satchmo/projects/skeleton

Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks.

    I would like you to reopen this bug. I have been able to reproduce it.

    According to the source of clonesatchmo.py, if you just do

    $ clonesatchmo.py

    then it should install a working cs copy in the working dir. However, there is an error in the source, at least on my distribution (Ubuntu 10.04, latest satchmo installed using the website procedure)

    You have to change:

    src_dir = os.path.abspath(os.path.join(clone_dir,'../satchmo/projects/skeleton'))

    to:

    src_dir = os.path.abspath(os.path.join(clone_dir,'../../satchmo_skeleton'))

    and then it works smoothly.

    clonesatchmo.py is trying to find the dir on its own - except it fails because of the wrong path.

    Which version of satchmo are you using? I think you're trying to use clonesatchmo on an older version.

    the skeleton directory is now in - /satchmo/projects/skeleton

    /satchmo_skeleton does not exist.
