DevTools Lighthouse audit breaks browser content layout

Issue #2606 new

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Load DevTools. On the Lighthouse tab, click the "Generate report" button.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The audit should run as described in [1]. It succeeds but leaves the browser contents with what appears to be a mobile layout that can’t easily be recovered from.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Current CEF master (M98). Tested on Windows and macOS.

Does the problem reproduce with the cefclient or cefsimple sample application at the same version? How about with a newer or older version?

Branches 3626 and older disable the "Run audits" button with a "Can only audit tabs. Navigate to this page in a separate tab to start an audit." message.

Does the problem reproduce with Google Chrome at the same version?

Works in Google Chrome version 72.0.3626.109 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Testing on Windows the audit capability seems to be working in M98 but it leaves the browser view in what appears to be a mobile configuration (weird size/layout of WebContents) that can’t easily be recovered from.
