# README *Bibliography* offers a programming library, command line tool and web-based user interface to manage a collection of files containing literature and metainformation. Its primary metadata exchange format is BibTeX. ### Installation If you downloaded a [prebuilt copy](https://bitbucket.org/chust/bibliography/downloads), the executable `bibmgr.exe` should run on any Unix- or Windows-based .NET 4.5 environments. To build *Bibliography* from source you will need an F# 3.0 compiler and .NET development environment. The .fsproj files in the source directory should be understood by command line tools like Microsoft's `msbuild` or Mono's `xbuild` as well as IDEs such as MonoDevelop or VisualStudio. ### Usage *Bibliography* can be started as a command line tool with a few subcommands. To get an overview of available options try bibmgr --help The web-based user interface is started when run without any options or like this: bibmgr ui ### Licensing Bibliography Copyright (c) 2017 Thomas Chust <chust@web.de> Perst Copyright (c) 2009 McObject LLC.
