In C4D, u can add multiple UV tags, each one containing a custom UV set. Also, multiple material tags can be assigned to an object, stacking from left to right. I think each material tag uses the UV tag found to its left. If you export an FBX, you can already use multiple UVs from C4D. It would be great to have this feature included, too (get rid of the 8 redundant UV sets, before). A practical workflow is to lay out UVs for texturing (in architecture often not necessarily within 1/1 space) and already include a second UV set (in 1/1 space) for clean lightmap UVs for using lightmass in UE4 (and deactivate generation of lightmap UVs on import in UE4).
