SmartExport export issue

I haven't taken the time to find the exact steps but I've seen this a few times:

Sometimes when exporting the same file multiple times I attempt to overwrite the last export. This does not work (as we discussed), which is fine. It appends _export to the new file. However, it also appears to be exporting the old scene as well. The only way to stop it is by using a new name. This is confusing and bad and I dont like it. Boohoo. Waaah.
