Entry Grouping
Issue #18
new
I'm not sure yet of the best interface or implementation, but some form of entry grouping would be quite helpful. It's probably not going to be too important for a v1 release, but as the number of entries in the dialog increases I think it will be.
A possible taxonomy:
- Distributor
- Author
- Type
- Plugin
- Script
- Character
- Content Library
- Models
- Materials
- MoGraph Preset
- MoCap
- Industry
- Use Case
- Utility
- Modeling
- Texturing
- Lighting
- Animation
- Rendering

reporter Just borrow the conventions of the Maxon Online Updater:
Tabs for:
- Updates
- Available
- Installed
Then in each tab two lists:
- Cineversity
- 3rd Party
-
reporter Another option might be to use a false-button that auto-fills the search field with "Cineversity" or nothing. But that feels a little hacky.

We talked about at least splitting the list by Cineversity vs 3rd-party plugins. If we do that, I assume the column sort should work as though they're two separate lists. But then the problem is that a brand new 3rd-party resource would be stuck beneath a mountain of old Cineversity stuff. Thoughts?
