Perhaps for v2:
Whenever a Cineversity tool has been auto-updated bring up a dialog with a brief description of what the biggest new features are and a way to watch them. It would be great if new Cineversity videos also caused the popup to launch when users first open Cinema. Of course users should be able to turn off this feature, but it would be a great way to keep users informed about the latest/greatest in Cineversity news.

Perhaps a message of some kind saying there are updates/new tools available when the dialog pops up? Or a tab/fold-out for "New Since Last Opened" so that users have some sense of why the dialog is popping up?

The dialog already opens automatically with any new or updated resource, but without any special layout or anything.
A news feed is on my feature list for v2.
