Error Message when used with Env Variable Setup

Followed the Cineversity tutorial on setting up environment variables so our 8 workstations and 20 render nodes can use the same plugin folder on the server - this plugin always pops up warning that it needs to be installed in prefs. any way to disable that warning? - noticed it came up in rick's tutorial as well.

I'm running into this issue as well - even when the plugins folder is definitely located somewhere other than the Applications directory.

Probably a bit tricky to sort out.
