I though that "the file already opened" is more correct that "the already opened file". I have just checked that in Google the former returns near 600,000 results, while latter only 100,000. Then both of them seem to be correct. You can leave it as it is, if you wish.

I have just checked that "the file already open" is even more frequent than "the file already opened", and much more than "the already open file" and "the already opened file". I prefer the first one.

You should search for the complete sentence: "use the file already open", "use the file already opened" and "use the already open file". The last is much more frequent than the others.
