After converting BN to DAN. I can't add utility nodes.

This comes from the tutorial section 3.1.1, where it asks the user first to convert an already created Bayesian network to DAN and the asks to add a decision and an utility node. The last is not possible (Index out of bound).
Creating the DAN from scratch doesn't pose any problem, though.
