Compilation error package utilitiyCalculator

There are some issues when you try to compile the uitilityCalculator package.

One has to do with an exception that is caught at a code section where it seems to be never thrown and so it fails.

The other one seems to be related to the access modifiers for the BestSequenceCalculator class.
