High IE8 CPU usage when moving mouse in non-chart areas
We're noticing an issue in IE8 where pages that have charts embedded in them use excessive CPU when moving the mouse around the document.
This can be seen by going to a jqplot demo page and simply moving the mouse around on whitespace...The more charts (or more data in the charts) the more CPU is used.
It ends up killing the user experience for every other element on the page as the browser becomes pretty sluggish.
Is this a known issue -- are there any work-arounds?
I've taken a quick look through the code to see if there is any msie specific handling that might cause it, but nothing jumps out. I'd be happy to investigate further if there any thoughts as to what might be causing the issue
