CloudEngine is an easy way to create a social web site for discussing and aggregating ideas and resources. It is centred around social objects “social objects” - Clouds and Cloudscapes - surrounded by a social space for discussion. These social objects can be cumulatively and collectively improved. It is ideal for running events and fostering discussion. The best way to get a feel for what CloudEngine does is to go and look at the Cloudworks website where you can see the software in action.

It is free and open source software, licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2

CloudEngine uses PHP 5 and a MySQL database and is built on the CodeIgniter framework which is lightweight and easy to learn.
