I would guess that this must be set via a dipswitch somewhere on the controls. With this humidistat you will need to manually set and change the humidifier settings with any changes in the weather. Works better than other brands it replaced. No more condensation, but it kept the humidity as high as it could. Will wiring be different for me. Typically, the humidistat should keep the living space at between 30 and 50 percent humidity. The diagram shows that the blower can run at med or even low if the nozzle size is small enough. The included valve is JUNK! Putting in a new thermostat seems very simple. Put the water feed tube back into the hole at the top of your water panel casing. The other thing to file is connecting directly or indirectly to a motor wire that can feed the wrong voltage to the u solenoid. You also need to tap into an existing hot wire to power the humidifier and its transformer. The Aprilaire 400 seems to be pas out the humidity. The wire above also avoids that. You can remove the hose to see the social is coming but when you do, make sure you point it at the panel near the bottom to catch the responsible that is coming out.
Sensing the outdoor temperature and the indoor humidity level, the automatic humidistat will call for the ideal amount of indoor humidification to ensure you and your family are as comfortable as possible. Any Heating and Air guys have any ideas???
