I try this with python 2.7 :

import ftd2xx as ftdi

context = ftdi.usb_open(context, 0x0403, 0x6001) print('chip ID: %X\n' % ftdi.read_chipid(context)[1])

andI have this mistake : aceback (most recent call last): File "C:/Python27/Lib/ftd2xx-git1/ftd2xx/", line 1, in <module> import ftd2xx as ftdi File "C:/Python27/Lib/ftd2xx-git1/ftd2xx\", line 107, in <module> from win32con import GENERIC_READ, GENERIC_WRITE, OPEN_EXISTING ImportError: No module named win32con

where is mitake ?

Sincerely Eric

    Hi Eric,

    ftd2xx is a separate project not directly related to pylibftdi. It uses FTDI's own D2XX drivers rather than libftdi. The error message implies that you need to install pywin32

    Note though that the ftd2xx readme states that it is no longer supported and suggests this project (pylibftdi) instead.

    Hope that helps, Ben
