Notifications are posting to the wrong Slack channel

Issue #11 resolved
Anonymous created an issue

On Slack, the Post To Channel is set to #confluence-updates.

However, all updates are posting to a different channel #t-api-ftw instead.

I have reached out to Slack support and they reviewed our logs and said that everything looks okay on their side and that they believe there is a bug or some sort of misconfiguration on this side.

The posts are annoying people in the other channel, so if we cannot resolve it soon I will need to disable it.

    Thanks for your message!

The problem seems to be that you rely on the channel that is configured in the Slack Webhook where notifications get sent. However, the configuration in Confluence decides which channels notifications get sent to. You seem to have configured the #t-api-ftw channel in the API space in Confluence, which is why notifications are sent to this channel.

Please change the channel for the notifications in the Space administration within Confluence, not within the Slack Webhook itself. The channel configured in the Slack Webhook doesn't get used at all.

We hope this clarifies how we send notifications.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
