Slack configuration input field for channel/user does not auto-complete

Issue #8 new

created an issue

In setting up the Slack Configuration for a Confluence page, the input field for the Slack channel and/or user to receive the notification does not auto-complete as you type. It would be great if auto-complete worked, as it's created confusion for our users to get the proper @mention and #channel name.

Thank you,

It seems like this will be possible with the new "workspace-based Slack apps", which is supposed to be released in Q1 2018.

With Slack's old API, we could not list private channels and it would require additional permissions and be tied to a specific user. We'd rather revisit this topic once the new workspace-based apps are available.

We can then also get rid of the webhook integration, no longer requiring you to copy/paste the webhook URL but have a better integrated solution instead. We'll start development on this early next year, depending on when workspace-based apps are made available.

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for following up on this suggestion. I appreciate it, and understand that waiting for the new Slack functionality with workspace-based apps makes sense. I'll be looking forward for the update at that time.
