Will only record as 3gp

Hi, for some reason ACR will only record in the 3gp format on my device.
My device is a OnePlus 5 running android 8.0.0

If I select anything other than 3gp in the settings, for example MP3-HQ, I get a message at the top of the screen saying "ACR was unable to record this call".

This is odd no? On my previous device (OnePlus 3) I was able to use the MP3 format.

Your phone might not support any other format. Try Using Mic audio source with other formats

Mic audio doesnt capture the incoming audio though. Why wouldn't my phone support mp3? This seems odd. I wouldn't consider this resolved LOL, you've just speculated.

I have not speculated. This is a known fact about your brand. You can try other recording apps to see
